In early June, BRAZTEX flew the ATLAS 70% proof of concept prototype at Phoenix-Mesa Gateway airport (KIWA) which is formerly the USAF Williams Air Force Base. As KIWA offers more than 10,000 foot runways, a full spectrum of ground & safety support and surrounding area ideal for development testing, the choice was logical.
Performance One Aviation (http://performanceoneaviation.com/) was key in the building of this prototype as their many valuable years of experience in composite aircraft construction were invaluable. Their more than 25 years of experience allowed all first flights to be completed without any major issues.
CADETE Production & Flight Testing
BRAZTEX, through its strategic partner, has test flown the 2-4 place military trainer and general aviation prototype of the CADETE. This all composite construction aircraft is poised to be used in both civilian and military markets as a 2-place, aerobatic trainer and all-purpose, fast 4-place traveling aircraft.
The CADETE is undergoing final flight testing during the spring of 2016. Other variants such as turboprop, Experimental Aircraft kit and other models are planned for future development.
Keep checking back as the flight testing resumes for more video and updates.
